Julie's Waterfront Ski ShowThe Dehlinger family lives on Lake Jennie Jewel, and all four of them will be participating in this year’s show. Annette will ride in the pyramid; Mike and Riley do a father-daughter routine (shown, left); and Taylor will be barefooting (below).

Practices have been held every Sunday morning beginning at 10 a.m. If you’re looking for something fun to do after church on Sunday, head over to Julie’s Waterfront Cafe and get an eyeful of skiers of all ages practicing their routines for what promises to be an amazing show.

The fourth annual Julie’s Waterfront Ski Show will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Hosted by title sponsor Julie’s Waterfront Family Restaurant on South Orange Avenue, the show will include exciting acts drawn from Central Florida’s rich water skiing heritage: barefooting, pyramids, hang gliding and trick skiing.

Originated by Curtis Leslie Rabe, who will again serve as the show’s announcer, the event is designed as a comedy for all ages, and includes skiers as young as 3 years old. Rabe skied for Sea World from 1982 to 1987, and at Callaway Gardens from 1979 to 1981. Three of the show’s participants—Mary Beth McMurtrie, Nancy Combes and Kent Knutson—are also former Sea World skiers.

The Dehlinger family not only participates in the ski show, their business, Mike Dehlinger & Associates, is also a sponsor. These friendly, long-time locals offer a full range of insurance options, and write policies for 35 different insurers. Stop by and visit them at 433 E Michigan Street or call (407) 839-0505.
